About me

Who I am

I’m a full‑stack software engineer with eight years of hands‑on Java experience, graduated as a Software Engineer at Fontys, and during my internships I got to see the inner workings of both larger and smaller companies. Afterwards I chose to join a smaller, close‑knit team where I grew into a Security Officer and team lead; my focus is on security, performance, and clean, maintainable code, always aiming to deliver future‑proof solutions.
In my own projects I mainly concentrate on my technical growth and on using multiple technologies and tech stacks. When I’m not behind a computer coding, you’ll find me at a concert (Green Day, Rise Against, Fall Out Boy, Biffy Clyro) or a musical (Beetlejuice, Dear Evan Hansen, Heathers), rolling dice in D&D, riding my motorcycle on backroads, playing (computer- or board-) games, at an amusement park, or running a bustling Minecraft server.

What drives me

My greatest energy comes from projects where I have complete freedom from the very first step to design a solution. Once the basics—class diagram, data structure—are in place, I dive enthusiastically into the coding work and relish the moment the first functionality goes live, customers are happy with it, and I receive recognition, which confirms my choice of this profession.
I want to broaden my expertise with a focus on cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and platform‑agnostic solutions, supported by relevant certifications, and contribute more actively to open‑source projects to give back to the community that has given me so much.
A healthy mix of intrinsic passion and extrinsic incentives works best for me: clear deadlines and time pressure boost my efficiency, while projects that truly excite me help my creativity flourish.
